This is a Sources Sought Notice. It is posted for the purpose of gathering market research information, responses to which will be used to assist the Government in forming its approach to the potential acquisition.

The Alabama Air National Guard, the 117th Air Refueling Wing in Birmgingham, is looking for information on interested sources for the requirement described later in this notice.

    Please furnish the following information:

    1. Company name.
    2. CAGE code or Unique Entity Identification
    3. Contact information (names, email addresses, phone, website, etc...)
    4. Capability statement or work history demonstrating proficiency in the type of work described.

This is a draft description of the potential work. Details of the requirement are subject to change:

Repair of approximately 300 linear feet of concrete cracking at the “Alert Pad” apron pavement. Removal and replacement of 5,000 linear feet of existing apron expansion joint.

    • Identify and mark all cracks designated for repair.
    • Clean the cracks using a handheld cutting saw—making precise cuts that follow the crack line and avoid unnecessary cutting—then route, blow out with compressed air, and vacuum to remove debris, vegetation, and loose material. Ensure cracks are dry and free of contaminants prior to sealing.
    • Fill cracks with a PCC compatible, FAA approved sealant suitable for aircraft pavement loading and fuel resistant environments.
    • Tool or level sealant to achieve a smooth, flush finish with adjacent pavement.
    • Allow proper curing time before reopening the area to aircraft traffic.
    • Saw cut and remove existing joint filler, sealant, and any deteriorated concrete along joint edges.
    • Clean and prepare joint surfaces to ensure proper adhesion.
    • Install new joint filler material meeting FAA specifications (e.g., Dow Corning 890 SL Self Leveling Silicone Joint Sealant).
    • Apply a fuel resistant, FAA approved joint sealant.
    • Ensure joint width, depth, and profile meet design requirements.
    • Finish joints flush with surrounding pavement and verify proper movement capability.

This is not a request for quote or proposals. Please do not submit pricing data in response to this notice.
