The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is hosting a virtual Industry Day on 4 November 2024 from 1300 to 1600 Eastern Standard Time. The purpose of this Industry Day is to solicit feedback from interested industry representatives regarding an initiative by the Support Equipment & Vehicles Division to manufacture the Ammunition Transfer System (ATS) GFU-27/K. Interested parties should refer to the Sources Sought Synopsis Notice, FA8532-24-R-20MMATS, posted on SAM.gov. The ATS is support equipment that transfers rounds into an ammunition loading trailer. Currently, the Air Force uses both the Universal Ammunition Loading Systems (UALS) and Linkless Ammunition Loading Systems (LALS). Once these trailers are loaded, they are taken to the flight line where they upload to F-15, F-16, or F-22 platforms. The original ATS was developed by HII and acquired through a US Navy contract but was reengineered in 2018 to correct numerous discrepancies. The technical data package for this solicitation includes the updates that were made at that time. Be advised that the Government has not settled on a final acquisition strategy with regard to quantity, Small Business Set Aside, length of the contract, etc., as this is largely dependent on the responses submitted by industry to the referenced Sources Sought Synopsis. We welcome collaboration with industry to critically review our requirements and discuss mutual issues and concerns relative to our technical requirements and acquisition strategy approach. On the afternoon of 4 November, we will convene an open session for general discussion and to present a video of a working unit. Please note that vendors are limited to only two representatives.
