Pershing Drive, Omaha, NE 68112. The solicitation is proposed to be advertised under NAICS Code 212311, Dimension Stone Mining and Quarrying. This sources sought constitutes a market research tool for the collection and analyses of information to determine the capabilities and capacity of interested contractors that are capable of providing services listed under NAICS code 212311 specifically for this type of project. This sources sought notice is also to determine contractors capabilities in providing the Quarried Stone to the Omaha District. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this market survey request. STONE REQUIREMENTS Requirements for Quarried Stone: The stone shall consist of quarried stone meeting the quality requirements of these specifications. Neither the breadth nor the thickness of any piece of stone shall be less than one-third of its length. The pieces shall be angular in shape, free from rounded and sub rounded material. Angular stone is defined as having a minimum of three (3) major flat surfaces with sharp angles between the surfaces. Stone shall be reasonably well graded from coarse to fine. Quarry operation shall be controlled to produce a reasonable well graded stone of the required size, and the COR may require changes as necessary to produce the required product. Fines of less than one half inch maximum cross section, accumulated from interledge layers or from blasting or handling operations or breaking shall not exceed five (5) percent by weight.
