Dimensions: Height 100 max Length 188 max Width 102 max Container Length: 122 max Purpose: To compact food compost Quantity: 1 Self-Contained Compactor: Wastequip 265XP Precision Series OR EQUAL Size range: 30 cubic yards to 35 cubic yards Weight range: 9,450 lb. - 10,000 lb. Dimensions: Height 100 max Length 248 278 max Width 102 max Container Length: 209 max Purpose: To recycle cardboard and other recyclables Quantity: 1 Cart Washer/Steamer: San-I-Pak or equal customized product Current Cart Wash Area Dimension: 20 length, 8 4 width Ramp Length: 6 Purpose: To clean carts See attachments for details. Cart wash to be designed for California seismic requirements (HKAI). Standards for safe manufacturing, installation, and operation of compactors are governed by ANSI Z245.2 industry standards. These guidelines are developed by industry, and it is the responsibility of each manufacturer to interpret and enact these standards. Above units will replace current waste containers with compactors to improve sanitation and infection control and to minimize pest issues at loading dock. *********** Location: VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304 *********** As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in developing its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Quote (RFQ), to be issued at a future date, and in determining if any type of small business set-aside is possible for this procurement and if full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. If full and open competition is ultimately utilized, responses to this synopsis will be used to aid in establishing small business subcontracting goals. This notice shall not be construed as an RFQ or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this request, so quotes will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or with any follow-up information requests. Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal RFQ process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence VA s acquisition strategy for this procurement. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted from this Sources Sought notice.
