The 460th SFS will utilize the VR training system to complete mandated monthly/quarterly and yearly training. This VR training system will comprise four complete systems, each including two VR headsets with swappable batteries and a four-bay charging bank. Included are software licenses for headset operation, law enforcement/tactical training software supporting simultaneous users, after-action review and scenario sketching modules, along with software support, device management, and online training resources. Each system will also include two CO2-operated non-lethal training rifles (M4/AR-15 style) and pistols (Sig Sauer M18 style) with magazines, accompanying weapon tracking systems, CO2 cartridges and refill capability, airsoft-capable training weapon options, two X26 TASER training CEWs, two OC spray trainers, and two ASP baton trainers. System hardware includes two ruggedized, portable computers with 5G/self-Wi-Fi capability housed in a protective case, a power rack, all necessary cables, cleaning supplies, user manuals, and device management software. Optional items for consideration include eye-tracking hardware, replacement headsets and tablets, weapon conversion kits, and CO2 adapters. A multi-year service support contract and on-site training/setup are also required.
