NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract, and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The MaxiMove floor lift is in use in two locations throughout the facility and training is standardized. The loop slings stocked in the facility are compatible with the MaxiMove, reducing increased cost to purchase special items. Scope: The Arjo MaxiMove full body patient floor-based lift allows the direct care provider to safely assist the patient to transfer from supine to seated position, boost in bed, lift from the floor and prone, which minimize manual handling by the caregiver. The requested equipment has a weight capacity of 500 pounds with an integrated weighing scale and power operated chassis leg abductors which allow for access to patient by fitting around chair legs.
