Intent to Sole Source: The Government plans to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements , with Boston Scientific Corporation to provide TheraSphere Y-90 Glass Microspheres. This requirement is for ongoing services of providing TheraSphere Y-90 Glass Microspheres at the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran Affairs Medical Center located in Charleston, SC. The services at the facility are necessary to provide targeted radiation therapy using microscopic glass beads containing radioactive Yttrium-90 (Y-90) to treat liver cancers, delivering high-dose beta radiation directly to tumors via the hepatic artery to kill cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. Services will be from 05/01/2025 through 04/30/2027 with two (2) twelve (12) month option periods. The designated source is Boston Scientific at 300 Boston Scientific Way, Marlborough, MA, 01752. In accordance with FAR Part 6, contracts awarded using this authority must be supported by a written justification, and approval will be posted within fourteen (14) days after contract award if the dollar amount meets the threshold. The Government will review all capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis. The decision not to compete based on responses is solely at the Government's discretion.
