The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this announcement. Responses are due by 4:00pm, Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO21), 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price, base plus four option year (OY) contract for Secondary Histopathology Services at VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHCS) in Reno, Nevada. VASNHCS requires intermittent histopathology services from a local source from time to time. Histopathology services include complete tissue processing from initial processing in a tissue processor to hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained tissue on a slide. The majority of requests from VASNHCS are for microtomy and H&E staining of tissue that was processed and embedded at the VASNHCS pathology department. Furthermore, a pathologist at VASNHCS may request additional slides with Group I, Group II, or immunohistochemical (IHC) stained tissue for further microscopic examination. The government intends to award the contract on 03/05/2026 to Renown Health, 1155 Mill Street, #O12, Reno, Nevada 89502. SAM UEI: CCJUZP1D8U44 CAGE CODE: 5V8X6. The estimated Period of Performance will be 03/26/2026-03/25/2031. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
