    AMENDMENT TO SOLICITATION - 36C24526Q0377 It is being added to the STATEMENT OF WORK **The contractor must provide a 1 thick steel road plates to be placed under the tank supports. Plates to extend out approximately 2 radially from the support to distribute the load.** B.2 STATEMENT OF WORK LR Boiler Reserve Fuel Tank SCOPE OF WORK: The purpose of this project is to purchase and install a 6,000-gallon reserve fuel tank to support the boiler at the Loch Raven VA property. The fuel tank will supplement the existing reserve fuel tank and be placed on the existing asphalt drive lane adjacent to the emergency generator. The project includes delivery, installation, fuel line connection, and securing the tank area. Delivery and Installation of Fuel Tank: Provide and install a new UL 142 double-wall steel 6,000-gallon, 8 ft diameter skid-mounted aboveground storage tank (AST). The tank will include all required components and fittings such as venting, manway lid, spill bucket, overfill control valve, stick port, visual level gauge, and anti-siphon control. The tank will be white and have all required labels and signage. Fuel Piping Installation: Install 1-inch supply and return piping with all required valves and fittings. Support the piping properly and connect it to the existing piping outside the building at the sump. Fuel Delivery: The owner will provide a fuel delivery to the tank. Installation of Concrete Barriers: Install six (6) traffic barriers to protect the tank. The barriers will be placed on the asphalt adjacent to the tank and spaced out to provide access to the tank. Secured Perimeter Installation: Install a 6 ft construction fence around the tank. One section of the fence will be designed to open for tank access. Integration with Existing Monitoring System: Install a refurbished probe with a diesel and water float kit. Install all wiring and conduit in compliance with the manufacturer s recommendations and the National Electric Code. Install an interstitial sensor in the tank secondary along with all necessary wiring and connections. Program the existing Veeder Root console to monitor the diesel probe and sensor. Program the overfill alarm to activate at 90% capacity, providing overfill protection for the new 6,000-gallon diesel tank. **The contractor must provide a 1 thick steel road plates to be placed under the tank supports. Plates to extend out approximately 2 radially from the support to distribute the load.** DELIVERABLES: 6,000-Gallon Tank Installation: UL 142 double-wall steel tank, including all required fittings and components. Secure fencing and traffic barriers to protect the tank. Fuel Piping: Installed supply and return piping with necessary and compatible valves and fittings. Monitoring System Integration: Refurbished probe with diesel and water float kit. Installed interstitial sensor and all necessary wiring. Programmed Veeder Root console for monitoring and overfill protection. Responsibilities: Contractor: Responsible for the delivery and installation of the fuel tank and associated components. Responsible for installing the piping, barriers, and fencing. Responsible for integrating the tank with the existing Veeder Root monitoring system. The tank will be installed directly on the existing asphalt driveway. All work is to be performed in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. EVALUATION FACTORS: Vendor must be registered in SAM.gov; all bid quotes must provide a letter of authorization to distribute supplies on a letterhead from manufacturer; Best Value; Delivery Lead times stated; complete BAA certificate.
