    Amendment 0001: The purpose of this amendment is to remove CLIN 5001 and FAR Clause 52.217-8 OPTION TO EXTEND SERVICES. Aircraft Recovery and Salvage capability is required to ensure sustained safe airfield operations throughout Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central (NAVEURAFCENT). NAVAIR 00-80R-20, NATOPS U.S. Navy Aircraft Salvage Operations (Ashore) prescribes that a salvage pre-mishap plan, trained individuals, and specialized equipment be provided to recover damaged or immobile aircraft from on-station/off-station aircraft accidents. Air Force instruction AFI 21-101 Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management states that all host and tenant commands with flying missions or active airfields/runways are required to maintain a Crash Damaged or Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) capability Lacking formal military training for the various types of commercial and heavy lift aircraft frequented throughout the Region, Aircraft Recovery and Salvage training shall be obtained through commercial vendors The purpose of the contract is to ensure sustained safe airfield operations throughout Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central.
