AIS BASE STATION UPGRADE

The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation Contracting Office, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to ICAN, Inc., under authority 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 – Only one source responsible and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, for the Automatic Identification System (AIS) Base Station Upgrade for vessel traffic management along the U.S. portion of the St Lawrence Seaway. ICAN, Inc., operates the St Lawrence Seaway Management Corporations (SLSMC’s) AIS Base Stations and GLS’s system must configure directly with the SlSMC network. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquiries will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem Only once source responsible, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, Contracting Office intends to make a sole source award to ICAN, Inc.
