    The United States Department of the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a sole source contract to, IPB Campus Dramaga., West Java, Indonesia. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals however If interested Government shall consider all responses. NMRC need a team in warm climate Arthropods like mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, mites, and lice are important infectious disease vectors. They thrive in warm tropical climates and forests. See attached Statement Of Work SOW) for detailed description of services needed to be performed. Submit quote, word doc format no more than 8 pages not to exceed 10 pages in all. 1. A local team consisting of mammalogists, ornithologists, entomologists, and molecular biologists is needed to perform multiple tasks to complete this study. A field survey is needed first to determine the areas of interest close to Marine CTC 5, including the terrain, farm, forest, and types of animals. After the field survey is completed and the Institutional Animal Use Committee approval is obtained, ectoparasites collection needs to be conducted by doing, but not limited to, tick drags and direct collection from animals (i.e., small mammals, birds, bats, companion animals, and livestock). Traps are required for small mammal, bird, and bat collections. The hosts and ectoparasites require species identification and nucleic acid extraction, followed by multiple PCRs to assess the pathogens they carry. Lastly, the Indonesian team needs to transfer these data and provide material samples (i.e., lysed samples, extracted nucleic acid, and PCR products) to NMRC. The NAICS code for this action is 541715.This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 13 Non-Commercial Items. NMRC requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems for Award Management (SAM).
