    PURPOSE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE), Philadelphia District (NAP), anticipates a requirement for the beach nourishment of Townsends Inlet to Cape May Inlet, Cape May County, New Jersey DESCRIPTION: Contract work consists of a base bid to place approximately 435,032 cubic yards of beachfill, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline in the Borough of Avalon, Cape May County, New Jersey and approximately 228,867 cubic yards of beachfill, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline in the Borough of Stone Harbor, Cape May County, New Jersey. The base project area encompasses approximately 6,300 feet along the oceanfront of Avalon Borough and 14,100 feet along the oceanfront of Stone Harbor Borough. The contract work may also consist of up to eight separate options. Three options are to place additional amounts of beachfill per option, if awarded, in locations within and outside of the base bid areas in the Borough of Avalon. Options 1, 2, and 3, if awarded, will be for quantities of 25,000, 75,000, and 150,000 cubic yards, respectively. Option 4, if awarded, is for planting approximately 2,883 square yards of dune grass in Avalon. Option 5, if awarded, is for an estimated 347 square yards of cross-over repair. Three options are to place additional amounts of beachfill per option, if awarded, in locations within and outside of the base bid areas in the Borough of Stone Harbor. Options 6, 7, and 8, if awarded, will be for quantities of 25,000, 50,000, and 100,000 cubic yards, respectively. The beachfill material for this contract must come from the authorized borrow areas, which are shown on the contract drawings, located adjacent to the project, in the vicinity of Townsends Inlet and Hereford Inlet. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 81 Calendar Days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Bidders are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://sam.gov) and PIEE at the time a bid is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Registration for PIEE is required as this is the only place bids shall be submitted. Bids must be submitted in PIEE Solicitation Module. ADDITIONAL INFOMRATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on the SAM.gov website, https://sam.gov and PIEE Solicitation Module.
