The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interest from prospective bidders for a potential fiscal year (FY) 2026 award of the aforementioned project. The purpose of this sources sought is to gauge interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of the Dredging Community, to include Small Businesses, as the Government must ensure there is adequate competition amongst the potential pool of responsible contractors.
The proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Jacksonville District anticipates the issuance of an Invitation for Bid (IFB). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to said sources sought or any follow-up information requested.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The Jacksonville District of the US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interested bidders for a project work that will renourish approximately 1.1 miles of shoreline in Palm Beach County, within the Town of Ocean Ridge. The Ocean Ridge beach renourishment is located between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range Monuments R-153 and R-159. The sand for the project will be sourced from two offshore borrow areas. The north borrow area is located approximately 0.78 nautical miles from the midpoint of the project fill area. The south borrow area is located approximately 0.5 nautical miles from the midpoint of the project fill area. Work also includes but is not limited to environmental species monitoring, hardbottom monitoring, turbidity monitoring, beach tilling, beach fill quality control, screening, and vibration control and monitoring.
The Estimated Magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.
The anticipated period of performance for this project: The Contractor shall begin performance within 60 calendar days and complete the contract within 90 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 237990, Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities.
The Small Business Size Standard for this project is $37.0 million.
Anticipated solicitation issuance date is on or about 12 November 2025 and the anticipated bid opening date is on or about 12 December 2025. The Synopsis citing the solicitation number will be issued on the SAM Contracting Opportunities Website: at https://sam.gov/.
