    Description

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division, Portland District (CENWP) intends to solicit construction firms who are interested in submitting a competitive firm-fixed-price bid for this project. This announcement is for the BON Navlock Upstream Stoplogs at Bonneville Lock and Dam near Cascade Locks, Oregon (Multnomah County).

    Work includes but is not limited to the following:

    1. Fabrication and installation of prestressed concrete stoplogs, post-tensioning of the stoplogs in place, ancillary metal lifting devices.
    2. Mechanical work includes but is not limited to: Mechanical lifting devices, water seal installation.
    3. Dredging of sediment in the navigation channel: 1500-2000 CY removed by clamshell barge, limited to in-water-work window requirements
    4. Capability for large barge crane lifting requirements:
      1. Stoplogs weigh 120 tons each
      2. Pick distance from a barge crane would likely require a 300-ton barge crane for a single pick or (2) 200 ton cranes for a tandem pick.
    5. Diving construction support activities in the general location of the stoplog placement.

    The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Evaluation criteria will be price. This acquisition will result in a single firm-fixed-price contract.
