The Indian Health Service, Gallup Service Unit (GSU), located in Gallup Indian Medical Center, Gallup, New Mexico 87301 intends to negotiate a sole source award with Industrial Water Engineering Inc for chemicals and water-cooling towers specifically for boilers installed by vendor to Gallup Indian Medical Center. The North American Industry Classification System or NAICS code is 325998 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.

Period of Performance:

            Base: 12 months

            1st Option Year: 12 months

            2nd Option Year: 12 months

            3rd Option Year: 12 months

In accordance with principles of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). Industrial Water Engineering Inc. currently provides boiler equipment and services to accomplish the mission objective of providing heat and cooling to maintain hospital.

This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any potential sources other than Industrial Water Engineering Inc. may submit a capability statement via electronic email by 9:00 AM MDT on September 18, 2025. Any other form of communication will not be considered. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition or proceed with a single-source award.
