Q&A for FA254325Q0050:
Question: Can you clarify what the actual shutdown expectations will be, and how you’d like communications handled with base personnel during the work? As written, the traffic control components (certified supervisor, 30-day plan, etc.) would likely cost more than the striping itself, which doesn’t seem like the intent here. Are you looking for full lane closures and detailed submittals, or would more limited, short-term controls (cones/flagging) be acceptable during restriping?
Answer : Correct, that is not the intent here. The contractor provided cones and flagging to ensure the safety of the product provided to the government is acceptable. Of course, if drying paint were smeared everywhere because a car ran through it (and there were no protective devices), the Contractor would be liable – whatever they see fit.
