C--CONSTRUCT STEEL STORAGE/WORKSHOP BUILDIN

The USGS Conte Anadromous Fish Lab Facility located in Turners Falls, MA has a requirement for the repairs to construct a 20' x 40' steel storage/workshop building. The prior wood framed building was demolished on the current site. The area has been cleared of all debris and the original pre-construction rough grade has been established. The demolished building was supported by concrete footing, but the new structure shall be built on concrete. The construction of the steel storage/workshop includes, but not limited to the following:

- Excavate and grade site for concrete slab, compact subgrade, apply crushed aggregate and compact, install steel reinforcement.
- Pour a 30'x44'x66' monolithic slab and finish surface.
- Erect 20'x40' steel building with 8¿ roll door on gable end, 6' overhead door on eve end, walk door and two windows.
- Demobilize from site, remove all debris.
- Work will take place in the following county in Massachusetts: Franklin
- Period of Performance is 61 days after notice to proceed is issued.
- The magnitude of construction is between $70,000.00 and $140,000.00.
- Request for Quotes (RFQ) 140G0125Q0065 will close April 08, 2025, at 10:00 am pacific standard time.
- A site visit will be held on March 26, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. (EST) CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. For site visit information please refer to FAR Clauses 52.236-27 and 52.236-27A*1. - The NAICS Code is 236220. The size standard is $45.0 million. This acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set Aside.
- All question pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to dparkin@usgs.gov at least 5 calendar days before the proposals due date. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted at least 5 calendar days before the proposal due date may not receive a response.
- The anticipated award date of the contract is April 14, 2025. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be emailed to dparkin@usgs.gov. Faxed Quotes will not be accepted.

- Amendment 0001 has been implemented to provide another set of questions and answers document please reference B09 Questions and Answers Amendment 1. The closing date has not been extended.
