NASA is currently seeking industry partners who are capable of providing the following requirement: The Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System for Mobility (CDRILS-M) is being developed for NASA's Mars Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit (mxEMU) to provide continuous CO2 and humidity control using a liquid sorbent, which offers non-venting EVA capability, trace contaminant removal, and improved serviceability. This system aims to integrate with the vehicle's Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) to enhance mission efficiency and reduce maintenance requirements.
The requirement is being considered for a sole source award to a known source; however any protentional capable industry partners are encouraged to respond with a capability statement. NASA is particularly interested in hearing from small businesses of any socioeconomic catagory. Any interested company shall provide a capability statement that indicates how the company is capable of meeting this requirement. The response shall also provide at least one past performance reference that is of a similar complexity and magnitude.
