CHICAGO DISTRICT SECURITY OFFICE- PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM (PACS) UPDATE

In compliance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) & 13.501(a) (1)(i) coupled with the provisions set forth by FAR Subpart 5.101(a)(1), this Notice is hereby published to inform of the following:

The Chicago District intends to award a sole source contract to Convergint Technologies LLC (CAGE: 3AU52). This requirement is for the following:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District has a need for services to install software updates to the Lenel OnGuard and Exacqvision Enterprise Systems to resolve the current technical issues with the site’s Physical Access Control System (PACS). The contractor shall troubleshoot each system to grant access and fix the misread of HID Card Readers. The service shall include the procurement and delivery of 100-HID Cards, pre-programmed to the PACS to use as temporary badges in the event the system requires additional work. Software updates and troubleshoots for Enterprise Physical Access Control System, E-PACS, at the Chicago District Headquarters Building.

The Government intends to negotiate solely with Convergint Technologies LLC under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government’s needs. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code will be 561621, the size standard will be $25,000,000.00 and the Product Service Code (PSC) will be 6350.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis and must clearly show the firm’s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
