COLOR CONCENTRATES

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division in support of the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center (DEVCOM) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Avient Corp (Avient), located at 85 Industrial Dr. Holden, MA 01520, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1).  The requirement is for color concentrates and compounds for use in extrusion of polymeric materials into fiber form.

No other source for this acquisition can be used as the Government’s requirement is for specific concentrates and compounds using proprietary dye pigment formula components and trade secrets.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325991 and the size standard is 500 employees.
