On behalf of the U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales Boat and Craft Program Office (PMS 300), the Naval Sea Systems Command announces an Industry Day for the solicitation for the Composite Boat Multiple Award Contract (MAC). The Industry Day will be a Navy-led brief of the composite boat program, overview of the draft solicitation, MAC ordering process and other items related to the MAC. Industry attendees are encouraged to participate; however, it is not required. Industry Day will be held on 10 July 2024, via teleconference. An objective of this engagement is to inform industry of the upcoming procurement and gain feedback to support continued development of the draft solicitation.
The brief will inform industry of the Navy’s plan for the composite boat MAC and provide details of the program. The brief will be provided approximately on/around 03 July.
The Navy plans to award a 10-year IDIQ MAC contract (Government Design) in FY25 for an estimated nine hundred and forty-six (946) boats and an estimated contract ceiling value of $650M.
The composite boat MAC includes boats with overall lengths of approximately 5m-20m, with hull types comprising of composite-material including but not limited to fiberglass reinforced plastic, glass reinforced plastic, carbon fiber, and Kevlar. Hull types comprised completely of aluminum and/or steel are not planned to be included in this program or associated, subsequent solicitation. Additionally, this MAC is planned to support requirements for both the Department of the Navy as well as international partners.

III. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This announcement is not a contract, a request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
