The shredder models and methods used must be disclosed for verification and approval by the organization. Records destruction services are preferred to be onsite, but shipment to a destruction facility may be considered after thorough review of the vendors equipment and process to ensure compliance with NIST, DoD, and Army regulations and policies. Certificates of destruction are required. The government will notify the contractor when sufficient boxes are accumulated for destruction.
