The shaft is wood cribbed at surface entry with additional wood and metal materials partially covering the opening. The work that needs to be performed is to safely close the shaft to the ground surface to eliminate potential falls into the shaft by vehicles and or foot traffic. We estimate the shaft cover will need to be 15 feet by 15 feet (225 sq. ft) in dimension.
