CUSTER GALLATIN NATIONAL FOREST - LEAD BASED PAINT REMOVAL & PAINTING

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The intent of the contract is to provide for the completion of the work described below. The precise details of performing the work are not stipulated, except as considered essential for the successful completion of the work. Furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the contract.
The work shall consist of removing lead-based paint on existing buildings; preparing the exterior of the buildings for new paint; furnishing and applying new paint on the exterior.

PROJECT LOCATION:  This project is located at Meyers Creek Station of the Custer Gallatin National Forest in Nye, Montana and West Bridger Cabin locates south of Big Timber, Montana

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:  It is estimated that work can begin in July 2026. Contract to be completed in 60 calendar days. Contractor shall give 60 days notice prior to start due to buildings listed on the government reservation program and used by the public.

MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION:  Between $100,000 and $250,000

BONDING:  Performance and Payment Bonds - Both required at 100% of original contract price if contract value in excess of $150,000, due 10 days after award. Only payment protections required for contracts exceeding $35,000 but not exceeding $150,000, irrevocable letter of credit or payment bond allowed per FAR 52.228-13, due within 10 days of contract award
Bid Bond/Offer Guarantee (FAR 52.228-1) - 20% required if quote/offer in excess of $150,000.
