CGNF - Fairy Lake Phase 2 Road & Recreation Improvements FALL 2025 INSPECTION/SITE VISIT The USDA Forest Service plans to issue a solicitation for improvements to Fairy Lake Road #74 and associated recreation infrastructure on the Custer Gallatin National Forest. This project will include excavation, drainage, road reconditioning, surface stabilization, trail reconditioning and surfacing, and installation of new turnouts, vault toilet, aggregate and 2 large culverts. This is not a solicitation and in no way commits the Government to award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement. The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the areas prior to heavy snowfall and issuing the solicitation. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on or before March of 2026 with implementation following the completion of Phase 1, currently anticipated to be completed no later than October 15, 2026. Phase 1 work tasks include earthwork, minor drainage feature replacements and sub-base aggregate placement and not included as part of this project. Site Visit Information: No formal site visit planned at this time. Potential bidders are encouraged to visit project site in fall of 2025 before submitting bids. ACCESS: North of Bozeman, MT approximately 20 miles. Fairy Lake Road intersects with Hwy 86 Bridger Canyon Road. See attached map.
