Closed Solicitation · DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY
AI Summary
The Department of Homeland Security is seeking proposals for the optimization of its Security Operations Center, including the removal and replacement of an outdated Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and integration with the VA Access Control System. Bidders must coordinate with the VA's ACS provider for integration work. This opportunity involves both product and service components.
This SOW is for the removal of the existing FPS responsible IDS, purchase, install/upgrade of a completely new IDS system. This will consist of one IDS system, with integration of the VA access control system for all perimeter doors that are determined to be doors that require integration. Whoever wins this contract MUST contract with the VA Access Control System (ACS) provider to perform the integration of the door contacts and ACS on doors that are required to have integration. This is because the VA has ownership of the ACS and their provider must be who works on their ACS under the VA contract for such. The IDS system is outdated and in need of replacement. There are three distinctly different IDS systems in place, and during this removal and replacement/upgrade, this concept of separate systems will continue to be the case. The alarm system for the perimeter is substantially a wireless system.
