DEFENSE LANGUAGE INSTITUTE ACCREDITING COMMISSION FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGES

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Eustis, Virginia, plans to negotiate and award a sole-source, non-personal services contract to MThe Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, 428 J Street, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA 95814, United States.

This contract is established to maintain accreditation, colleges and institutes pay annual membership dues directly to ACCJC on behalf of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). Classified under NAICS code 611630, the procurement is designated as a sole-source acquisition based on market research indicating that The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges is the only provider capable of delivering these specific support services.The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) applies annual dues to reaffirm DLIFLC’s membership as an accredited degree-granting college. Membership dues ensure continued compliance and coverage under ACCJC accreditation which DLIFLC has already reaffirmed. 

DLIFLC has been continuously accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) since 1979. Prior to 2020, federal regulations required institutions to obtain accreditation from the agency serving their geographic region. As a California institution, DLIFLC's regional accreditor was ACCJC. Geographic restrictions on institutional accreditation were removed in 2019. DLIFLC remains accredited by ACCJC and completed its most recent reaffirmation review in 2025. To maintain accreditation, colleges and institutes pay annual membership dues directly to ACCJC. These dues are established and collected exclusively by ACCJC and cannot be provided by another organization.
