Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT), in support of the DON, is seeking information from interested entities regarding potential development, improvement, or utilization of up to 11.5 acres of land, with public road access, located at NSGL in Great Lakes, IL (“Premises”), as shown in Attachment 1 General Maps. Respondents should be interested in engaging with DON in an out-grant in exchange for IKC. All consideration for the rights granted under an Agreement must be provided in the form of IKC, as defined in 10 U.S.C. § 2679(f). This may include contributions toward the existing backlog of maintenance and infrastructure requirements, facility sustainment, utilities, Morale, Welfare, Recreation (MWR) improvements, or the preferences listed in Section 3.6 that comply with installation priorities. The DON invites industry respondents to complete and submit a response to this Request for Interest (“RFI”) detailing proposed redevelopment plans or other ideas/concepts for the subject property no later than 2:00 PM EST on Monday June 23, 2025. Industry respondents may engage with the Government regarding the Premises via written inquiries and their formal RFI response. The processes for submitting inquiries and RFI responses are outlined in the attached RFI document. The DON will use the information gathered from this RFI to assess potential courses of action and determine the most effective way forward.
