ECONOMIC FORECASTING SERVICES

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract to IHS Global Inc., Inc. located in Englewood, CO.

The FAA proposes to acquire economic data to forecast aviation activity and workload for manpower planning, regulatory analysis, and aviation trust fund analysis. The acquisition will utilize single source procedures.

In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Guidance T3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. IHS Global Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the FAA’s Requirements. This announcement is for informational purposes only and is not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to IHS Global Inc. and is not available for full and open competition.
