ELEVATOR LIGHT REPLACEMENT

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order for Elevator Light Replacement at US Coast Guard Base Kodiak, Kodiak, Alaska. The vendor will be TK ELEVATOR CORPORATION, 2000 W Intl Airport Rd, Ste D6, Anchorage, AK 99502-1118, UEI: DZRUYMC2LJM6. The period of performance will be 45 days after award.

This action is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The contractor has the historical knowledge of the Base Kodiak Building N38 elevator, including the function and design of the elevator system, the root cause of the failure and operational issues with this specific unit. USCG Base Kodiak will be the procuring entity for this effort. Performance will be located at Kodiak AK 99619. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 238290.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 28 Aug 2025, at 1:00 p.m., Alaska time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
