EMERGENCY WATERLINE REPAIRS

The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation Contracting Office, intends to award a hybrid Firm Fixed-Price / Time and Materials, sole source contract to LaVacks Custom Builders, Inc., under authority 10 USC 3204 (a)(2) as implemented by FAR 6.302-2(a) – Unusual and compelling urgency, for Emergency Waterline Repairs at the GLS Administration Building. This contract will consist of emergency repairs on an underground waterline that is experiencing a leak and causing flooding within the building. The flooding must be resolved, so that further damage to the building can be prevented, as well as health, safety, and operational risks. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for the Emergency Waterline Repairs at the GLS Administration Building. The anticipated cost is $50,000.00. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem Unusual and compelling urgency. The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, Contracting Office intends to make a sole source award to LaVacks Custom Builders, Inc., 51 Churchill Ave, Massena, NY 13662.
