    CAUTION: This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of an energy-dispersive micro-focusing X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (?EDXRF) with poly-capillary optics for use by Department of the Air Force (DAF) personnel. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards as this survey is for planning purposes and may not result in a solicitation or contract. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the provision of the ?EDXRF requirement as described below: This is a requirement for the furnishing, shipping, assembling, installing, verifying, calibrating, testing, and training of an energy dispersive micro-focusing x- ray fluorescence (?EDXRF) spectrometer with poly-capillary optics to provide a small X-ray spot suitable for nondestructive spectral mapping. The ?EDXRF instrument shall detect all elements from Carbon to Uranium with sufficient resolution, sensitivity, accuracy, precision, and reproducibility to satisfy all items in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, parts, personal protective equipment (PPE), transportation, shipping, and any other incidentals necessary to complete the requirements of the attached SOW. Following installation and acceptance by Government personnel, the Contractor shall provide basic operational training for all equipment/software supplied to Tinker Air Force Base (AFB). See attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) and Sources Sought response document. If you choose to respond, please submit all requested materials and supporting documentation so the Government can assess your capabilities for market research purposes.
