    Description

    Synopsis

    This posted announcement is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis of a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.207.

    The Mission Installation Contracting Command - Fort Leavenworth intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Scope:

    The purpose of this requirements is to upgrade the fire alarm system in Building 392 and 339 to bring it up to current code and installation of new fire alarm and mass notification systems include but not limited to system wiring, raceways, pull boxes, terminal cabinets, outlet and mounting boxes, control equipment, initiating devices, notification appliances, supervising station fire alarm transmitters/mass notification transceiver, and other accessories and miscellaneous items required for a complete operational system. Provide systems complete and ready for operation. Design and installation must comply with NFPA 72, NFPA 70, NFPA 101, IBC, and UFGS 25 05 11, UFC 4- 010-06 UFC 3-600-01, UFC 4-021-01, UFC 4-010-01, and all applicable codes and standards.

    The contractor shall provide all supervision, management, personnel, labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, and any other items necessary to complete various construction projects. This work may include but is not limited to the following: repair or replacement of mechanical, electrical or fire protection and detection systems; repairs related to building renovation or demolition; interior remodeling work including carpentry, painting, floor and wall covering; renovation of historic structures; repair or replacement of infrastructure systems; correction of drainage problems; repair or upgrade of structural problems, including seismic upgrades; repair or replacement of siding, windows, doors. Work may be accomplished in different types of facilities including administrative, industrial, warehouses, and other support type facilities. This acquisition will require a general contractor with experience and expertise capable of managing numerous task orders at the same time, which will require construction scheduling, cost estimating, and others tasks.

    Anticipates an award will be made to a responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation for bids; will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price related factors included in the invitation. This anticipated contract will be Firm Fixed Price.
