THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A COMPETITIVE REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The National Park Service, Contracting Operations-Central, Northern Rockies Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Sole Source award for the acquisition of a Mouse Bird Fossil for an exhibit located in Fossil Butte National Monument, WY. This requirement is for the purchase of a small mouse bird fossil from the Fossil Lake sediments of the Green River Formation. Requested item(s) include: - 4" x 6" Mouse Bird Fossil - QTY 1 The National Park Service intends to procure the Mouse Bird Fossil from one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures and will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 327991 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This is a Sole Source Notice and not a request for quotations. No solicitation document is available with this notice. Any firm that believes it has the capabilities to provide the Mouse Bird Fossil may contact the Contract Specialist, Kiara Stewart at kiara_stewart@nps.gov, with documentation as to how their firm is capable of providing the requested fossil. A determination not to compete this proposed order based on responses to this notice will be made at the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered for support of the Government's determination to support of a non-competitive strategy.
