FOREST SERVICE - UPPER LYTLE CREEK ROAD REHAB

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE

This pre-solicitation notice is issued for informational purposes only to inform industry of an upcoming project requirement that will be solicited. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, please do NOT request a copy of the solicitation, bid documents, specifications, or drawings. Responses or proposals are not required at this stage.

The USDA Forest Service Procurement and Property Services, Field Procurement Operations, Southwest Zone, Contract Service Area 6, on behalf of Region 5, is currently preparing a solicitation RFP to provide road repairs to various locations on the San Bernardino National Forest.

The contractor shall repair a washout on Upper Lytle Creek Divide Road (3N31Y) in the Front Country Ranger district of the San Bernardino National Forest. The work involves excavating approximately 12 feet of material along a steep slope, installing primary reinforcement every 3 feet and secondary reinforcement every foot, and resurfacing the road section. The project includes excavating, backfilling, and embankment of road prism failures caused by erosion, installing geogrid fill reinforcement, and placing erosion control mats to stabilize the area.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, non-personal services, and all items necessary to perform the project work and associated contract requirements. All work must be performed in strict compliance with the terms, specifications, drawings, and provisions outlined in the contract.
