PLANNED SOLICITATION: The final Solicitation for this project will be announced anytime between 15 and 30 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation.The contract type will be firm-fixed-price. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: the furnishing, installing, and placing into successful operation approximately 40,703 LF of 20-inch diameter water main pipe, 2,398 LF of 26-inch diameter horizontal directionally drilled pipe, booster pump station, and all associated work. The contract includes all pipe, valves, appurtenances, roadway bores, horizontally directionally drilled pipe, backfill, compaction, testing, quality control, safety, and all other related work required to place the project into successful operation. This contract will be a portion of the Lake Marion Regional Water System with portions owned, operated, and maintained by both Santee Cooper and Berkeley County. The Contractor will be responsible for coordinating work with local utility owners, property owners, Lake Marion Water Treatment Plant personnel, and Berkeley County. As posted on SAM.gov on 09 May 2024, under the same requirement number, the solicitation will include Brand Name requirements for the following equipment: Equipment Description Manufacturer SCADA System Dorsett Controls Booster Pump Station EFI-Solutions All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency MAGNITUDE OF WORK: $10,000,000 TO $25,000,000 The contractor must be registered in WWW.SAM.GOV prior to award of the solicitation.
