The Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to award sole source contract actions to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), located at 600 5th Street NW, Washington DC 20001, for the DOJ's Offices, Boards and Divisions Transit Subsidy Program. WMATA shall provide SmarTrip cards; a web-based system to enter monthly fare amount(s) to the card; with the ability to allow employees to utilize other surrounding transit systems affiliated with WMATA. Smart Benefits are the only form of fare media accepted by the District of Columbia METRO system and all other public transportation providers in the Washington, D.C. area. We intend to issue sole source contract actions each year until the program expires. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This is not a request for proposals nor will a solicitation be issued.
