Original RFI posting: This is a Request for Information relating to the Global Tires Program 2.0 Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Initiative for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Interested vendors should read through the three attachments, which are the RFI information, the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the List of NSNs to be covered. Interested vendors should follow the instructions listed in the RFI information attachment on how to respond.
8 January 2026 Industry Day posting: DLA Weapons Support (Columbus) is requesting feedback from industry on whether having an industry day to allow for potential vendors to ask questions regarding the upcoming GTP 2.0 acquisition would be beneficial or not.
DLA Weapons Support is considering having a one-day event that would potentially allow for questions and answers (Q&A) from interested vendors. DLA Weapons Support would post the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) in a sufficient amount of time to allow for interested vendors to review the PWS in order to formulate questions before the potential industry day. If an industry day is held, afterwards the Q&A provided during the event (or after if specific questions could not be immediately answered) would be posted on the DLA Global Tires website.
Please note, the industry day is only meant for vendors who are serious about potentially participating in the acquisition. As a reminder, but not to discourage potential vendors, an investment of approximately $50M is required by the future GTP 2.0 contractor upfront for the purchase of tires in order to perform on the GTP 2.0 contract.
Please email the Contracting Officer, charles.mielkeii@dla.mil if you believe an industry is or is not beneficial. All responses need to be received by 16 January 2026.
