HYDRO AXE REMOVAL SERVICES

Amendment 0001 - Amendment 0001 has been issued to:

1. Provide responses to all RFIs received by the deadline.
2. Update the Performance Work Statement to include adjusted work hours.
3. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska is issuing a solicitation for Hydro Axe Services.  

Description of Services: Contractor to furnish all labor, transportation, materials, engineering and equipment to perform brush and tree clearing services on Eielson AFB to include services at Birch Lake Military Recreation Camp. 

Eielson AFB and Birch Lake has approximately 25 acres, not to exceed 50 acres of power line and pipeline, right of ways, that require hydro axed to prevent trees from coming into contact with the high voltage overhead power lines and to keep power line right of ways clear for maintenance purposes.  Additionally, maintenance access needs to be made to conduct maintenance and repairs to the JP8 pipeline fueling systems supplying fuel to the flying missions.  These rights of ways need to be hydro axed to an overall width of 60ft, 30ft on each side of the pole or pipeline, with the exception of Birch Lake Military Recreation Camp.  That area will be 20 feet on each side of the lines.  These sections around Eielson, which will be included in the map section, are around power lines or future power lines and pipelines that require hydro-axing.  The total area for the service is approximately 25 acres, not to exceed 50 acres between the two locations. See attachment, Maps, for required land coverage. 

Period of Performance: 1 August 2025 – 30 September 2025 

Site Visit: A site visit will be conducted on 14 July 2025. Contractors should report to the CE Maintenance Shops building parking lot located at Bldg. 2351, Central Avenue, Eielson AFB, AK at 09:00 AM (AKST). The Point of Contact for the site visit is listed as follows:
