    The Combat Capabilities Development Command - Armaments Center (DEVCOM-AC), Munitions Engineering and Technology Center (METC), Fuze and Precision Armaments Directorate (FPAD), Aeroballistics Division has a requirement to upgrade the supersonic wind tunnel in Building 266 Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. The tunnels are used to simulate the actions of an object inflight. This effort is a purchase order to acquire the heater element (and ancillary equipment) to support the upgrade of the supersonic wind tunnel inbuilding 266 from supersonic to hypersonic. The effort is merely to purchase all the hardware necessary for the upgrade. This effort does not include any other activities that needed to be accomplished to achieve hypersonic capability.
