INSPIRE SPECTROMETER VERTICAL FOCUSING MIRROR

This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Vendors shall not submit a quote until, and/or if, the solicitation is posted to the Governmentwide Point-of-Entry via www.SAM.gov. Vendors are not required to submit any response to this pre-solicitation notice. This announcement shall NOT be construed as a commitment by Brookhaven Science Associates LLC (BSA) to award a Subcontract. Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) reserves the right to use any and all information submitted by, or obtained from, an interested party in any manner BNL determines is appropriate, including, but not limited to, the creation of a solicitation.

Background:

BNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory multidisciplinary research facility, located on Long Island, New York.  BNL intends to compete the subject requirement, to be utilized within the United States. This requirement will provide for full and open competition.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing (Size Standard, 1,000 employees), and the applicable PSC is 6640 – Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting their quotes.

BNL intends to issue a solicitation in support of this requirement by mid-July of 2025. BNL expects to make one (1) award. The anticipated award contract type is a Firm-Fixed Price contract. At this time, BNL anticipates award date to be around August 2025.
