AI Summary
This project involves the demolition of existing fire alarm equipment and the installation of a new Monaco Fire Alarm Radio Transmitter system across multiple buildings at NAS Oceana and Dam Neck Annex. The work includes both interior modifications and limited exterior installations to enhance life safety communication systems. Only contractors on the MACC may submit proposals.
This project will demolish the existing basewide fire alarm reporting/monitoring equipment and then design and install the interior Monaco Fire Alarm Radio Transmitter, the exterior wall mount antenna, and associated appurtenances at Dam Neck Annex Buildings 921, 991, 992 and NAS Oceana Buildings 56, 100, 107, 202, 212, 223, 292, 294, 299, 306, 320, 326, 330, 340, 345, 401, 408, 410, 450, 460, 480, 513, 520, 529, 531, 542, 545, 581, 820, 1100, 1102, 1104, 1116, 3014 (includes 3013), 3015, 3030, and 3034 to improve the reliability of the communication of our life safety system due to the deterioration of our basewide underground copper phone line telecommunication system. This will require the modification of the existing Monaco Fire Alarm Radio D-21 head end equipment programming software at NAS Oceana Building 320 and Dam Neck Annex Building 525. The majority of construction is interior work with a small component limited to the installation of exterior wall mount antennas (transmit only), associated ground rods at each antenna location, and bonding to existing lightning protection systems.
