INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE - GELSIGHT MOBILE SERIES 2

Misawa Airbase is in need of GelSight products listed below. Market research conducted found that GelSight is the sole vendor capable of providing these products, associated service and proprietary software. A recent contract was found (N6660423P0165) that purchased identical assets. This requirement was also executed as a sole source.

This specific brand is sought for its portable surface analysis that quantifies X-Y-Z dimensions of any material at any workflow location regardless of composition, reflectivity, or transparency. It is desired for its ability eliminate false failures, scrap, and rework through the automated process workflows, including robotic operation, that are enabled by external triggering, remote mounting, pass/fail test routines, batch-mode analysis, stl /.csv outputs, and immediate .pdf report generate . This device is sought along with the Proprietary GSMobile software.

Market research was not able to identify any other sources capable of providing these assets resulting in the Single Source determination.
