INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - L3HARRIS PRC-160

This Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order to L3Harris for one (1) PRC-160 Radio with installation at Ramstein AB.  The PRC-160  radio have been approved by the National Security Agency's (NSA) requirement to function on the US military's secure voice and data communications network that are compatible with existing SATCOM infrastructure and encryption methods currently utilized at Ramstein AB. L3Harris is the only manufacturer of PRC-160 radio.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 25 May 2025. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above.  Due to concern of interoperability and standardization with other Harris radio in stock, the Government will not consider any alternative brands.
