    Description

    Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (NAVSUP FLC PS), in support of Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), Yokosuka, intends to issue a firm-fixed-price supply-type contract on a sole source basis to RIX Industries. The requirement is for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-certified Field Service Representative (FSR) to perform maintenance, repair, and programming of Low-Pressure Air Compressors (LPACs) onboard a U.S. Navy vessel in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). This acquisition will be conducted on a sole source basis with RIX Industries in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) — soliciting from a single source. RIX Industries is the only known source with the OEM authorization, proprietary technical data, and certified personnel required to meet the Government’s performance and support requirements. A Justification and Approval (J&A) supporting the use of other than full and open competition has been prepared in accordance with FAR 13.501(a). This notice is not a request for competitive quotes / proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement by the date specified in the solicitation. Any responses received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
