INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Government awarded a Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) to dredge Maumee River and Maumee Bay on 28 May 2024.  The ordering period for the SATOC ends 27 May 2026.  The contractor is currently dredging in Toledo under task order W912P425FA017.  The SATOC specified stations for the dredging in Toledo.  The Government is currently working on a modification to the current task order.  However, the stations are outside those listed in the SATOC.  As a result, the modification is deemed out of scope.  The additional dredging is needed to facilitate commercial navigation on the Maumee River and prevent potential groundings (Government will confirm this with an updated survey prior to completing the modification).  The Government intends to modify the contractor's exisiting task order to include this additional dredging on a sole source basis citing Federal Acquisition Regulations  6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and  6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B).  This is not a request for proposal; however, industry comments can be provided until the closing date regarding the Government's proposed method to accomplishing this work.
