The project, which is located in Martin and Palm Beach Counties, Florida, will be divided into a base and one option. Work associated with the subject requirement will consist of maintenance dredging from the Intracoastal Waterway channel (IWW) in the vicinity of Jupiter and St. Lucie Inlets. These two areas are approximately 16 miles apart along the IWW channel. The area to be dredged at St. Lucie Inlet is referred to locally as the Crossroads because it is the junction of the IWW, Okeechobee Waterway (OWW), and the St. Lucie Inlet channels. The Jupiter Inlet portion of the project consists of maintenance dredging IWW CUT-P-1 through CUT-P-9. The excavated material will be placed in the beach placement area immediately south of Jupiter Inlet. The St. Lucie Inlet work consists of maintenance dredging IWW STA 190+00 CUT-M-1 through STA 5+00 CUT-M-6 and OWW CUT-OW-1. Excavated material will be placed in the St. Lucie inshore impoundment basin. Incidental work for both project areas will include endangered species monitoring, turbidity monitoring. Vibration monitoring and beach tilling will be required at the Jupiter Inlet beach site.
