    Description

Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410A Procurement intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price, sole source purchase order to Bruker Detection Corporation, to provide IPDS-LR Maintenance Certification Training for the Bruker IPDS-LR Mk 26 Mod 1 detection unit and associated equipment. Bruker is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this product and certification training thereunder, and the only authorized provider for the training. The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611699, and the business size standard is $16,500,000 (annual revenue).

This certification training is mission essential and distinctively directed for certification training to maintain the Bruker IPDS-LR Mk 26 Mod 1 detection unit. The IPDS-LR is a shipboard chemical warfare agent detection system used by the US Navy. Its primary function is to detect chemical warfare agents and provide alerts to the crew of a naval vessel if a hazardous concentration is detected. Due to a radioactive element within the IPDS-LR detection equipment, the manufacturer requires technicians to receive IPDS-LR maintenance certification training prior to opening the equipment for maintenance. Bruker Detection Corporation is the only vendor capable of providing this vital certification training.
