The Department of Defense is hosting a Virtual Industry Day for the Information Warfare Research Project Consortium on May 27, 2026. This event will provide updates and technical briefs on upcoming Requests for Prototype Projects. Participation is limited to IWRP Consortium members, and no awards will be made from this announcement.
Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Centers (NIWC) Atlantic and Pacific announce the Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium Virtual Industry Day hosted by ATI, the IWRP Consortium Management Firm, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The event will include a Keynote from Commander, NAVWAR; IWRP program and consortium updates; technical briefs; and one-on-one break-out sessions with scheduled IWRP Consortium Members.Technical briefs presented during the IWRP Consortium Virtual Industry Day will include a variety of information-warfare focus area topics. It is anticipated that the topics will be the basis of upcoming Requests for Prototype Projects (RPPs) to IWRP Consortium Members. This is not a Request for Prototype Projects, but for planning purposes only. A project will not be awarded from this announcement. In order to obtain more information regarding the below projects, you must be a member of the IWRP Consortium. For more information on becoming an IWRP consortium member, please visit https://www.theiwrp.org.The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the IWRP Consortium, and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent. The Government anticipates to solicit three (3) Requests for Prototype Projects (RPPs) for white papers, enhanced white papers or full proposals via N65236-24-9-0003. RPP topics will include a technical brief and one-on-one break-out sessions. The RPP topics consist of the following:1. 26-PAC-3234 - Leveraging Battle Force Tactical Network (BFTN) Waveform Development Kit: The Government is seeking a prototype of containerized software implementations of layer 1 and layer 2 for High Frequency (HF) waveforms, leveraging the Battle Force Tactical Network (BFTN) software framework.2. 26-PAC-3294: Advanced Signal Processing and Algorithmic Maturation: The Government seeks prototypes to mature and transition mathematical algorithms into sustainable software applications for operational use. This effort includes the development of containerized and embedded software prototypes designed to perform anomaly detection, Artifical Intelligence (AI)-driven waveform analysis, and anomaly rejection from sensor data streams. The prototypes will leverage Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) algorithms and will be tested in both benchtop and system-level integration environments.3. 26-PAC-3295: Peat Integration: The Government seeks a prototype to adapt and integrate the open-source Peat peer-to-peer (P2P) tactical data synchronization tool for military use. The desired prototype will optimize the Peat software to ensure reliable data exchange for tactical teams and unmanned systems operating in degraded, intermittent, and low-bandwidth (DIL) communication environments. The effort will culminate in the integration and demonstration of the software with Government Command and Control (C2) systems.Additional information on IWRP or to become a member, please refer to the following link: https://www.theiwrp.org
